Dr Kris Klimek

Dr Klimek founded the Mountainview Dental Centre  in 2002 and continues to work here overseeing all aspects of the practice. He comes from a family background in dentistry, his mother still practicing today. Dr Kris Klimek graduated from UBC Dental school in 1998 and was always  involved with the student body by serving as class president for one year and as year book co-editor/photographer for four years.  After graduation Dr Klimek continued for refine and develop his skills by taking numerous courses in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, implants, gingival surgery and endodontics. Dr Klimek has alrays more than exceeded continuing education standards set by the BC dental College.  He served as a board member for the Vancouver and District Dental Society and as treasurer for the Orthodocs study club for five years.  Currently he is on the advisory board of the Vancouver Implant and Perio study club which is an affiliate of the prestigious worldwide group of Seattle Study Clubs. Dr Klimek prides himself on understanding and performing a broad range of procedures. He still challenges himself to attain even higher levels of precision most recently by incorporating an operating microscope into daily practice. However, other than clinical skill Dr Klimek feels the greatest asset any dentist can possess is being able to listen to a patient's concerns and bring forward a plan that fits the patient's needs and desires. Without the patient clearly understanding their strengths and problems, as well as solutions available, the dentist's skills can not be employed.

Dr Klimek is a long time North Shore resident having gone to both elementary and high school on "the shore" and enjoys many of the activities at our doorstep.  During the summer you will often find him hiking up the Grind if he is not paragliding or windsurfing.  During the winter he can often be found downhill skiing or pulling his kids in the "Chariot" while cross country skate skiing.  He very fortunate to be a dad of two active boys who love to swim and run.
